What is Abhayanga or Ayurvedic Self Massage?

According to Ayurveda, self massage is an integral part of daily routine recommended for overall health and well-being. It helps to remove the accumulated stress and toxins from the mind and body, increases circulation to the nerve endings and promotes increased stamina during the day. It increases mental alertness, tones muscles and lubricates joints.  


How to Use Padmashri Oils in your daily self care routine

Dip your fingers in the warm oil and apply it lightly to entire body. Wait for few minutes and apply even pressure with the whole palm and fingers to massage with circular motions over rounded areas such as head and joints. Use straight strokes on straight areas such as your arms and legs. Do not apply heavy pressure on sensitive areas such as abdomen and heart. Relax for 10 - 15 minutes after the massage, then follow with warm bath or shower.
